Complete this challenge and get some rewards related to the current event on Roblox!

byFranco Abrina

Bee Swarm Simulator, just like other games on Roblox at the moment, is participating in the platform-wide The Classic event. In this experience, the developers have added a game mode known as the Retro Swarm Challenge that will give you rewards for The Classic, and in this guide, we will give you a few tips on how to beat it!

Retro Challenge Complete Guide

As of writing this, you still have a couple of days to complete this challenge in order to earn rewards related to The Classic. The Retro Swarm Challenge is basically a wave defense game mode where you have to survive against hordes of monsters.

There are only two different enemy types that you need to deal with, but they get stronger as you progress through the waves. They are the following:

  • Slime – The slimes are slow monsters that solely aim for the hives, and they should be taken out immediately to prevent any leaks.
  • Zombie – Zombies are essentially the same as slimes, except they will target players if there is at least one person near them.

All you need to do is ensure that no more than ten of either monster type touches your hive. If at least ten of them make it to your hives, the team loses.

Starting Out – What to do on Wave 1

After claiming one of the hives, head over to the shop area at the side and use your bricks to purchase some bees. This will make the early waves much easier, but make sure to save your bricks afterwards.

These three starter bees will be all you’ll need on that front for several waves. Instead, you will want to save up for a good weapon. After the first wave, go and buy a Classic Sword to start out with. This will only cost you 10 bricks.

General Tips After Wave 1

In between each wave, what you should be doing is gathering as much resources as you can possibly get before the next horde arrives. Honey will allow you to buy more bricks at the side of the mob’s entrance.

By the second wave, zombies will start appearing alongside the slimes (which have leveled up too).
If you followed our advice of buying the Classic Sword, then you are more than prepared to kite and kill all of the zombies that try to follow you around.

Once you have saved up at least 300 bricks, head back to the shop area and buy the Firebrand Sword. This is a huge upgrade that will let you survive throughout the next several waves.

Save your bricks until you get around 1500 of them. This will allow you to buy the Illumina Sword later on. This is the only upgrade that you really need after the Firebrand Sword. It can kill monsters with just one swing, at least until they level up to have over a thousand HP.

After the Illumina Sword, just use your Bricks to buy each of the food items at the tail end of the shop area. Just buy these food items in any order whenever you can afford to get one.

Entering the Later Stages

Eventually, you will have bought out most of the items in the shop. After finishing up your food items, the only thing left that you’ll need is the Trowel to help you slow down mobs in the later waves, where they will start becoming a little tankier.

From this point onwards, just spend your bricks on new bees. Yes, you’re finally going to be getting more bees, and it only takes you around 15 to 20 waves before doing so.

When you’ve made it to around wave 20 or beyond, just keep this cycle of buying bees while trying your best to survive. With a good team, you can last much longer, and you’ll be guaranteed to get all of The Classic rewards!
