Best Prismatic Warlock Build in Destiny 2: The Final Shape (2024)

While making builds for a Warlock in Destiny 2 might have been at least a little limited in the past, Prismatic breaks free of those limits and allows you to get really creative with your builds and Exotic Class Item combinations. This Warlock build will take you into The Final Shape with a sense of confidence, because honestly, not many enemies will be able to stand up to you.

Abilities

So, while the main focus of this build is going to rely on the specific Exotic Class Item combination needed for it, the abilities still have a huge impact and just make sure everything comes together seamlessly. Song of Flame is one of the new Super abilities released with The Final Shape, and it’s really a game changer for this build. More specifically, the increased ability regeneration from it makes this build amazing. Healing Rift makes sure we have a way to get some extra healing in and can stay alive longer, and mixed with Spirit of the Necrotic, Vortex Grenade and Arcane Needle deal and spread poison debuffs like a wildfire.

  • Song of Flame – Unleash your inner fire, making your equipped weapons Radiant and enhancing your abilities. Supercharged melee attacks launch additional projectiles. Sentient flame wisps seek out targets and detonate in a Scorching explosion, then seek out other nearby targets. While Song of Flame is active, you and nearby allies regenerate abilities more quickly, are more resistant to incoming damage, and your Solar and Kinetic weapons Scorch targets.
  • Healing Rift – Conjure a well of power that continuously heals those inside it.
  • Strafe Glide – Jump while airborne to activate Glide and start an airborne drift with strong directional control.
  • Vortex Grenade – A grenade that creates a Vortex that pulls targets inward and continually damages those trapped inside.
  • Arcane Needle – Sling a woven needle that will embed in your target, unraveling them. Activate your melee ability again to chain up to two additional attacks.

Aspects

Finding Aspects for this build that really benefit the overall functionality was tricky to do here, but we settled on Hellion and Lightning Surge. Both Aspects deal damage to multiple enemies and add additional debuffs to them, making them easier to take out with Poison so that the effect can be spread to other targets.

  • Hellion – Activate your class ability to summon a Solar mortar that lobs flaming projectiles at distant targets. Targets damaged by the mortar are Scorched.
  • Lightning Surge – While sliding, activate your charged melee ability to blink forward, calling down lightning strikes that Jolt targets as you rematerialize.

Fragments

The Facet of Bravery grants you Volatile and Unraveling Rounds, depending on the weapons that you choose to use along with it, which can boost damage for Void and Strand weapons, which is what we should be using for Legendary weapons in our loadout. Facet of Dominance makes all those enemies that we’re going to be targeting with Poison weakened, and makes it much easier for the Poison to spread to other targets, and Facet of Solitude drops Severing blasts any time you land rapid precision hits.

Moving forward, since we no longer have the Well of Radiance Super, having the Facet of Blessing will make sure we’re kickstarting out health regenerations much more often based on our melee final blows. Additionally, when you’re using your charged melee ability, Facet of Dawn makes sure that you and sometimes your allies become Radiant. Since this build is so dependent on melee abilities, it only made sense to include the Facet of Protection as well, so that when we’re surrounded, we take less damage.

  • Facet of Bravery – Defeating targets with grenade final blows grants Volatile Rounds to your Void weapons. Defeating targets with powered melee final blows grants Unraveling Rounds to your Strand weapons.
  • Facet of Dominance – Your Void grenades Weaken targets. Your Arc grenades Jolt targets.
  • Facet of Solitude – Landing rapid precision hits emit a severing blast from the target. While Transcendent, the severing blast is bigger.
  • Facet of Blessing – Melee final blows start health regeneration. While Transcendent, melee final blows start health regeneration for you and your allies.
  • Facet of Dawn – Powered melee hits against targets make you Radiant. Powered melee final blows make you and nearby allies Radiant.
  • Facet of Protection – While surrounded by combatants, you are more resistant to incoming damage. While Transcendent, the effect is increased.

Exotic Class Item Combination

Using the Spirit of the Necrotic and Spirit of Synthoceps combination for your Exotic Class Item, you’ll be able to deal poison damage to any enemy that you hit with a melee ability. Once enemies are poisoned, if they die, the condition spreads to nearby targets. In theory, with the way the rest of the build is set up, you should be able to consistently be poisoning and defeating enemies rapidly.

  • Spirit of the Necrotic – Damaging combatants with your melee poisons them. Defeating a poisoned enemy spreads the condition.
  • Spirit of Synthoceps – Improved melee damage when you’re surrounded.

Exotic Weapon

Since this build is mostly based on dealing and spreading poison damage, it only makes sense that the Exotic weapon to primarily use would be the Osteo Striga. Osteo helps to spread poison by firing a stream of toxic projectiles that track enemies, and landing a final blow or multiple precision hits triggers a burst that poisons nearby enemies. In addition to Osteo, be sure to have a Void or Strand weapon in your loadout as well.

Armor Stats

The two main armor stats that you’ll want to focus on for this build are Resilience and Strength. Resilience will give you that extra bit of damage resistance that you’ll need without having a well to protect you, and Strength lowers the melee ability cooldown, which is exactly what we need to spread poison as fast as possible.
