In this role, you will lead our efforts to expand our partnership strategies and revenues by managing a team of Partner Account Managers and fostering relationships with both existing and new agency partners.
The Day To Day
Leadership and Team Development: Act as the operational leader for the North American Partner Account Management team. Your role involves not just leading but expanding a diverse team. This includes all facets of team management such as recruiting, hiring, coaching, and mentoring. Develop a strong team culture focused on excellence and continuous improvement.
Strategic Growth and Partnership Expansion: Collaborate with our marketing team, internal partners, and Partner Account Managers (PAMs) to develop and implement go-to-market strategies that drive revenue growth. Focus on deepening and expanding current relationships while also identifying opportunities with new partners. Leverage your expertise to enhance these strategies, ensuring they align with both partner needs and our business objectives for robust market expansion.
Performance Management: Set clear performance metrics and goals for the team. Conduct regular reviews, provide constructive feedback, and offer guidance to ensure the team meets or exceeds their sales and book of business objectives.
Collaboration and Relationship Building: Build and maintain lasting relationships with partners, promoting account adoption, expansion, and retention. Champion collaborative efforts that benefit both WP Engine and our partners, facilitating mutual growth and success.
Travel and External Engagement: Participate in external events, including partner meetings and industry conferences, to represent WP Engine and enhance our business relationships. Engage both independently and alongside your team members and other internal partnership leaders. This role involves approximately 10% travel.
Your Expertise And Passion
Proven Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in marketing technology, with a strong track record in acquiring, onboarding, and accelerating relationships with midsize and large digital agencies. Experience with cloud-based SaaS, Digital Experience Platforms (DXP), and Content Management Solutions (CMS) will be a great advantage, but not a requirement.
Leadership and Interpersonal Skills: Demonstrated ability to lead multi-functional teams effectively under ambiguous conditions. Strong interpersonal skills are essential for motivating team members and fostering an environment that encourages innovation and high performance.
Process and Playbook Development: Continuously develop and refine our partnership playbook and processes to ensure repeatability and scalability across different scenarios with the director and other partner manager team leader . While recognizing that each partnership may require a tailored approach, strive to create frameworks that standardize operations where possible, enhancing efficiency and effectiveness.
Strategic Thinker: Ability to strategize at both macro and micro levels, anticipating market trends and aligning them with team member book of business and organization goals. Adept at creating and executing long-term plans that leverage company strengths and address potential weaknesses.
Adaptability and Initiative: High adaptability and an autonomous work style, capable of thriving in a dynamic, constantly changing environment. Must be a proactive self-starter with a keen interest in personal and team development.

On Target Earnings (OTE)$190,000.00
We believe that compensation should be reflective of the impact you have within the organization relative to the market value of your role. The cash compensation package above includes base pay plus on-target commission for employees in eligible roles. Sales incentive plans are uncapped with significant earning potential.
